Hi friends!! For those of you who follow me on SnapChat, @AdoreSimmy, or Instagram, @BarbelleBeautyy, then you have probably been keeping up with me on my weight loss journey and multiple failed attempts at the Whole30. Last Thursday, I completed my second round of the Whole30 and I am just so happy that it is finally over.
I’ve had such a great experience with this program, but I won’t say that it changed my life. It made a difference, but there were no drastic changes that happened. For the most part, I already watch what I eat, so I just am not big on restricting myself again for another 30 days. I just love food so much that if I want something sweet then I can have it without having to “restart.”. Now in regards to the reintroduction, I did it last Friday & Saturday …. after that I was like whatever, bye. I just came to realize that I really don’t like having rules when it comes to my food.
LOL, sounds as if I’ve been liberated, huh?
Now don’t get me wrong, I feel like this Whole30 is great for people who need guidance regarding their nutrition, so that they can meet their goals. My first round of Whole30, I NEEDED THAT, but now that I’m back to the Simmy I once knew, I am pretty much gucci.
This time around it wasn’t so difficult, because I was looking forward to sharing my weekly update with you guys. I lost a whopping 5 pounds … lol!!! That’s 1 more pound more than the last time. I’m actually not even bummed, because I see the changes in my body and measurements. My waist has definitely gotten smaller and let’s just say your girls muscle definition is making an appearance. May be small, but hey … all that matter is that I’m making progress.
Do I plan on doing Whole30 again? Honestly, no. Now I may do a Whole7, Whole14, or even a Whole21 but 30 days is a no go for me. I have a pretty good handle on my exercise and nutrition now, so I believe I can stay away from the whole eating clean for 30 days straight.
So yeah, I don’t want me not doing a Whole30 to discourage you from trying it out, because I highly recommend you do it if you’re not someone who has control over their food.
Well Whole30, I kicked you in the butt for the second time.
Thank you & goodbye!
What’s next?
Well I have decided to try out intermittent fasting and I am on Day 2. So far so good, but again it is only the second day. I’ll probably do a post or video on it later, but long story short I’m only eating between the hours of 11 AM – 7 PM. I may do it all week or only 5 days out of the week, we’ll see. You know I’ll keep you guys posted.
Please leave any questions in the comment section below or you can reach me at Barbellebeautyy@gmail.com . I would love to hear from you whether you have done the Whole30 or are thinking about starting it. Or Intermittent fasting, especially since I’m kind of new to it.
I am always here to help and if you have any questions for me regarding nutrition and/or exercise, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Now here are my AFTER pictures + measurements!
I have heard a lot about intermittent fasting. I don’t think I have the willpower to do it! 🙂
