Four weeks down. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get this far with Wellness Wednesdays, but here we are. It feels good to have made it through a full month of showing up for myself, sticking to my workouts, being mindful of what I eat, and just trying to build better habits. It hasn’t been perfect, but progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency.
What I’ve Learned So Far
One unexpected thing I realized is that I don’t have the same mindset I used to. And that’s not a bad thing. In the past, I was always about pushing harder, doing more, chasing an outcome. But now I am learning to work with my body, not against it.
New Additions to My Journey
To keep things more structured, I finally got a smart scale (The Renpho Body Scale) because I wanted to track body fat percentage and other key data points. I also got an automatic tape measure because let’s be real, it hard to measure yourself (well for me it is) and I want more accuracy. I will still be doing by weekly check-ins, but now I will have more consistent data to compare over time
You know how people say:
In 4 weeks, you’ll feel a difference.
In 8 weeks, you’ll see a difference.
In 12 weeks, other’s will notice.
I want to see for myself if that holds true. Tracking this data will help me stay motivated and tweak what’s working(or not working)
Changes for the Next Four Weeks
Workouts. I’m keeping my workouts at an hour max, but being more intentional about fat-burning sessions and incorporating more running now that my endurance is improving.
Ramadan and Fitness. I’ve always worked out during Ramadan, and this year will be no different. My plan is to train before Suhoor (predawn meal) so I can stay consistent. I feel like the past few weeks have helped me get into a disciplined routine, so this transition shouldn’t be too difficult.
Meal Structure & Portion, Instead of limiting myself, I’m focusing on portion control and structured meal planning for the week ahead. With Ramadan, it’ll be even easier to cut the unnecessary snacking since I physically won’t be able to just grab something out of the fridge whenever I feel like it.
Staying Motivated
They say people burn out after a month, but honestly? I don’t feel like I’m slowing down at all.
If the scale doesn’t not move, it is whatever. Annoying? Yes, but I won’t let it define my progress. Instead, my focus is on my daily habits, making sure I am eating better and moving better.
Ramadan is actually going to help me with discipline. Fasting naturally keeps me from mindless eating, and after breaking my fast, I always feel satisfied and full. There is not even room to binge eat, especially with how structured my evenings will be between prayer, sleep, and waking up for Suhoor.
What’s Next For Wellness Wednesday?
Moving forward, expect more details on:
- What I’m eating and what’s working for me
- The workouts I’m doing and how I’m adjusting them for Ramadan
- Progress updates, real struggles, and the small wins along the way.
I want this to be something people can follow along with, whether it’s for motivation or just to see how I navigate this journey. This next month is about discipline, structure, and seeing what changes stick. I’ve built a solid foundation. I just need to keep showing up.
Would love to hear, what’s one habit that’s helped you stay consistent in your wellness journey?
With love,
